Noor Riyadh Featured Artworks

Noor Riyadh unites Saudi and international artists with a program featuring some of the most established names in light art, and an expansive roster of emerging and established local and regional artists. More than 60 artists exhibited, with citywide installations showcased across Riyadh from March 18 - April 3, and the landmark exhibition ‘Light Upon Light: Light Art since the 1960s’ on show until June 12, 2021.

NOOR RIYADH CURATORS

Noor Riyadh is a new city-wide annual festival of light and art consisting of numerous public art installations across Riyadh city, and "Light Upon Light," a landmark exhibition of light arts since the 1960s to present day.

The citywide installations are curated by Dr. Eiman Elgibreen, curator of the Saudi National Pavilion at the 58th Venice Biennale, Pam Toonen, curator at Light Art Collection, and with Vincenzo de Bellis as an international artist curatorial consultant.

The 'Light Upon Light' exhibition is curated by Susan Davidson, a former curator of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York and Raneem Zaki Farsi, an expert in the Saudi Arabian contemporary art scene.
